FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: for removal of race of bearing seized by fusion to roll neck of rolling mill radial grooves are turned along entire length to depth of fusion zone. By this bearing race is divided into several parts. Tangential effort is applied to each part in fusion zone sufficient to form tangential stresses exceeding fatigue limit of metal in fusion zone but less than fatigue limit of metal of outer layer of roll neck. Transfer machine for removal of bearings has frame which carries drive with rotating spindle, support with carriage, power head and drive of power head, tailstock with center, breakdown support with throw clip and open roller steady-rest. Roll with fused bearing race is installed on steady-rest and throw clip and is squeezed between rotating center coupled to rotating spindle of drive and center of tailstock. Power head has horizontal cutting wheel. EFFECT: reduced time of removal of bearings seized fusion. 6 cl, 5 dwg
