FIELD: rolled stock production, namely restoration of rolling rolls of wide strip hot rolling mills, possibly restoration of rolls with damaged wobblers. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of surfacing wear resistant layer onto surface of worn wobbler, working said surfaces in lathe having instead of cutter holder milling head mounted in lathe rest; vertically moving journal with wobbler for matching rotation axis of roll with rotation axis of lathe; then at turning rolls around its own axis placing plane of reference key hole of roll in parallel relative to motion plane of rest; then milling oriented surface of wobbler according to desired size.
