FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: hardening of surfaces by plastic deformation is followed by deposition of metal coat from special fluid containing salts of protective metal. Metal brush installed with eccentricity relative to part axis is used as tool which is rotated with simultaneous reciprocating motion with regard to longitudinal part axis. Tension of brush nap with reference to worked surface is set for preliminary machining within limits from 0.8 to 1.5 mm and for deposition of coat (feed of fluid into contact zone) within 2.0-4.0 mm. In addition gear for implementation of process has separators-clips of V-shaped nap of brush made with grooves having different inclinations of side walls for attachment and fixation of nap.
