FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: ball mill has vertical housing, rotor in the form of bushing fastened on shaft and mounted in housing concentric with gap and balls disposed in rib gap. Cup whose void is turned upwards and is in communication with the gap is mounted under bushing. Ribs are made on lateral surface of bushing with slope to generatrices of this surface at the angle more than 90 deg. but less than 90 deg. The lateral surface of bushing in circle direction is represented by at least two adjacent regions. At each level in bushing height the adjacent portions differ from each other by the value of rib slope towards generatrices. The maximum value of gap is larger than ball diameter but less than ball diameter. The edge of each rib turned towards rotation has at least one portion on which the angle between the normal and radius traced through given point of portion surface in rib cross-section increases towards its top.
