FIELD: chemistry of aminoacids. SUBSTANCE: monoammonium salt of glyzirrhizic acid (glycyrame) has melting point 202-204 C. Powder of licorice root is used as reagent 1, aqueous solution of alkali and bubbling by air oxygen is used as reagent 2, sulfuric acid is used as reagent 3, 25 % solution of ammonium hydroxide being used as reagent 4. Reaction is carried out by consequently interaction of mentioned above reagents. The process is followed by recrystallization of mixture of ethanol and acetic acid. Yield of desired product is 6 %. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method.
