SUBSTANCE: gas laser has heat exchangers made in the form of row of plates mounted perpendicular to tray surfaces coated with fissionable material layer; front and rear edges of plates perpendicular to working gas current are pointed; adjacent ends of even quantity of tray parts may be optically coupled through optical elements mounted on optically noncoupled ends of tray and made in the form of unstable telescopic cavity with its axis located near center of edge of heat exchangers; additional heat exchanger may be installed at entry of tray; fissionable material is introduced in material of each heat exchanger.
