FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting a water-absorbing slit and filling it and the rut with soil taken from the rut sides and shifted to the longitudinal axis of the slit. The rut levelling-out device comprises a base, turning lever and a spring-loaded shank with skim coverer. The shank has a curvilinear concave frontal working edge, and a chisel in its lower part. The skim coverer is made of two cone-shaped open funnels arranged on the sides of the shank and joined with its upper part. EFFECT: higher operational efficiency and better passability of sprinkling machines on the field, reduced labor requirement for levelling-out the rut. 9 cl, 16 dwg
