Walls of cylinder, head and piston form cavity resonator 5 with varying natural frequency ranging from fr.max to fr.min which corresponds to maximum and minimum advance angles. Combustible mixture is ignited at the moment when fr.= fcom.. Device for realization of this method has SHF generator 1, resonators 5 whose number is equal to number of cylinders N, variable capacitors 7 and 8 with capacitor plates, dischargers 9, circulator 3 with N+2 arms and matched load 4.
