FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: rotary viscometer has case with two coaxial cylinders placed into it. Outer cylinder is coupled to rotation drive, inner cylinder is connected to measurement unit by means of torsion bar spring. Torsion bar spring is manufactured in the form of squirrel cage with bars of angular profile facing axis of torsion bar spring with their vertexes. Third cylinder made in the form of sleeve with bottom facing upwards and made fast to outer coaxial cylinder can be placed inside coaxial cylinder in addition. Diameters of cylinders provide for similar rate of displacement of examined liquid in both clearances between cylinders. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of measurements. 3 cl, 4 dwg
