FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: axially symmetric sample of tested material is put into ring loader 2, sample is rigidly fastened over its perimeter and tensile stress is applied to sample by expansion of ring loader. Loader 2 is manufactured from restoring material. It is uniformly compressed with effort equal to tensile stress applied to sample before fastening to sample. Application of tensile stress is carried out by removal of compressing effort from loader with rate corresponding to required rate of deformation of sample. Straps 4 can be used to increase strength of connection of loader 2 with sample 1. EFFECT: expanded range of loading modes and tested materials, decreased cost of testing owing to use of standard equipment. 1 cl, 1 dwg
