FIELD: metal structures protection against gasses corrosion. SUBSTANCE: method provides for ionization of environment by short pulses of current from high voltage source of power in conditions of appearance of crown discharge on anode or protected structure. During pulse of current action electrical conductivity of environment is increasing by several orders and during intervals between pulses power consumption is absent. EFFECT: method allows to provide effective protection metal structures against corrosion in atmosphere, gas and vapor-shaped low electrical conductivity mediums and to decrease power consumption. 1 cl
