FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process of manufacture of protective coats on articles from ferrous metals includes preparation of melt on the basis of aluminium and its deposition on article followed by curing and cooling. Proposed melt consists of, per cent by mass: silicon 14.0-40.0; copper 11.6-30.0 zinc 8.0-21.0; aluminium being the balance. EFFECT: improved protective characteristics of coats.
