FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: bulkhead is mainly used for ship's cabins. Bulkhead consists of floor profiles 2 and ceiling profiles 3 to which vertical pillars are secured; wall panels 1 are inserted in between pillars. Wall panels 1 are provided with edge formers which are rectangular in cross section with their rabbets directed inside. Rabbets perform function of springs for compensating tolerances. Pillars are provided with vertical slots for receiving rabbets. Floor profiles 2 and ceiling profiles 3 are provided with locking edges for securing wall panels 1.
