METHOD OF MAKING CAT'S EYE SCREEN Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of pseudoshining screens. SUBSTANCE: cat's eye screen has substrate with cloth attached to it. Cloth itself is made in form of interlaced glass threads in cloth. Threads are disposed along longitudinal and lateral directions. Substrate also has binder. Cloth has flat working side which separates threads for separate alternating parts being whole in thickness at least at parts where maximal sag is present. Glass, quartz, kaolin, polystyrene or polymetacrylate threads may be used. Binder is made with refractivity being no lower than 3 percents relatively refractivity of corresponding thread. Cells among threads are filled with binder. Parts may be made in form of twisted threads which have 90-450 fibers of materials being correspondent to threads with diameter of 0,6-12 mcm; fibers are disposed onto the substrate at one direction. Binder may have 2,7-50,1 mass particles with reflecting surfaces. Screen may be made with color transparent coating applied onto working surface. EFFECT: improved safety. 13 cl, 3 dwg
