FIELD: technical aids to control road traffic, manufacture of road signs for motor vehicles, special elements to detect objects in darkness, credit cards, etc. SUBSTANCE: light returning material includes monolayer of clear microballs partially submerged into reflecting layer applied on backing and carrying particles with reflecting surface oriented towards corresponding microball. Particles with reflecting surface are made from metal, nonmetal or nonmetal with reflecting coat and are applied on surface of binder. Microballs are positioned on surface of binder. Part of particles can be coated with color translucent varnish different from color of reflecting surfaces of the rest of particles and can be made in the form of pattern.
