FIELD: production of welding wire used in arc-type mainly semiautomatic welding in medium of carbon dioxide and steel of any nitrogen concentration and carried out in accelerated mode. SUBSTANCE: aim is to develop composition of steel for welding wire, usage of which in above parameters of welding prevents gas emission during welding molten bath cooling, brings to minimum mechanical aging of seam metal and so increases resistance of seam to formation of pores and cold cracks and due to that increases operational reliability of welded structures. Steel has following components, mass %: carbon 0.01 - 0.15; manganese 0.5 - 2.0; silicon 0.5 - 1.5; chromium 0.01 - 0.4; nickel 0.8 - 1.5; copper 0.01- 0.32; aluminum 0.001 - 0.05; cobalt 0.001 - 0.1; titanium 0.05 - 0.15; iron - balance. EFFECT: developed composition for welding wire, that prevents gas emission during welding seam cooling, decreased to minimum welding seam aging, increased operational reliability of welded structures. 1 tbl
