SUBSTANCE: at the beginning of the cast, when directing the dross, the toyer moves vertically in the reciprocation mode, the amplitude and periodicity of the movement being controlled in accordance with the amount of loaded iron ore material and gradually reduced to the end of the direction of dross. Duration of the latter is determined from the relationship X:Y=250:500 where X is duration of the direction of dross expressed in per cent of the total duration of blow, and Y is a portion (%) of the scrap in the metal batch.
