FIELD: iron and steel industry; smelting of steel in a converter.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of iron and steel industry, in particular, to smelting of steel in a converter. The technical result is optimized steel smelting processes, increased stability of a smelting process and a service life of the converter lining, reduced metallization of the oxygen tuyeres and the gases withdrawal boiler, increased productivity. The method of smelting of a steel in the converter includes loading of a metallic scrap, filling of a molten iron, feeding of slag-forming materials, blowing of the molten bath by oxygen through a tuyere. The height of a tuyere position Hsin the process ofthe smelt charge ignition in respect to a level of a melt is determined by the following dependence:Hs=l.8+38.l·M+8.27·L-0.27Q+▵H, where M - mass of slag-forming materials, % from mass of the smelt, L - a mass of a metallic scrap for the smelt, % from mass of the smelt, Q - intensity of oxygen blowing, m3/t·min, ▵H -a change of the bottom lining position level in the process, m. Then a tuyere position is determined according to the discharge gases temperature. At the temperature of the discharge gases exceeding 1030°C the tuyere is lifted, and at the temperature below 900°C - the tuyere is let down. In the final period of blowing the height of the tuyere position Hf is determined according to the following on dependence Hf=0.69+0.0036·M+▵H, where M - mass of the whole smelt, t.
EFFECT: the invention allows to optimize steel smelting processes, to increase productivity, stability of a smelting process, the converter lining service life, to reduce metallization of the tuyeres and boiler.
