FIELD: electric heaters. SUBSTANCE: flat electric heater has base built up of plates wound on which is resistor unit circuit with current leads. It is provided with at least one pair of additional plates whose surface area is greater than that of base. This plate (these plates) is (are) tightly attached to either side of base and overlaps its flat surface. Additional circuit of resistor unit is wound about external surfaces of each pair of plates. All circuits of resistor unit are made of thread material. Resistor unit may be made of carbon harnesses interwoven with weft threads made of insulating material.
