FIELD: medicine, cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to carry out ECG survey in a patient, moreover, one should detect pre-ectopic interval of extrasystolia (PEI), PEI correlated according to the frequency of heart rate (PEIcor) by the following formula: PEI: , where PEIcor - pre-ectopic interval correlated according to the frequency of sinus rhythm, PEI - pre-ectopic interval, sec, R-Rav - average value of 3-5 intervals R-R of sinus rhythm being prior to extrasystole, then it is necessary to detect the inclination of linear PEIcor regression, not less than in 10 extrasystoles. At value of inclination ranged 2-5 msec/PEIcor one should predict the development of paroxysms of flutter and fibrillation for 1 mo, ranged 6-9 msec/PEIcor - for 1-2 mo, ranged 10-12 msec/PEIcor - for 2-3 mo, above 12 msec/PEI cor - for 3 mo -2 yr after the first survey. The innovation enables to carry out adequate therapy in such patients at the stage of primary prophylaxis.
