FIELD: manufacture of pumps. SUBSTANCE: prior to mounting gasket and studs, sealing coil is mounted in lower portion of housing; sealing coil carries rubber sealing rings and pressure nuts for pressing these rubber rings to surfaces of pump housing to be sealed; rubber rings are pressed by means of plates; sealing coil is fixed in grooves for slotted seals. Then two special wrenches are fitted in lower portion of housing to rotate pressure nuts of sealing coil, after which horizontal joint of spiral housing is sealed. Pressure nuts of sealing coil are rotated with the aid of special wrenches so that plates press rubber sealing rings to surfaces of pump housing to be sealed, thus separating the delivery chamber from inlet chamber of pump and sealing up these chambers. Then special wrenches are moved away from sealing coil towards end bores so that special wrenches should be thrown out of engagement with pressure nuts; faces of end bores are sealed up by means of laying gaskets and fitting end blanks and pressing them by means of cap nuts which form screw pairs with rods of special wrenches.
