FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: protein exhibiting pore-forming function in cellular wall of meliodosis pathogen and purified from cytoplasmic proteins and peptidoglycan is administrated to meliodosis-sensitive animal by subcutaneous route at dose 880-7000 mcg/mg animal mass. Immunization is carried out by schedule that is experimentally adopted to each animal species. Protective effect estimation is carried out by subcutaneous infection of animals with virulent culture of meliodosis microorganism. Method provides survival 100% white rats infected with subcutaneous dose ID50 of agar culture of high-virulent strain of Pseudomonas pseudomallei CN-141.
