FIELD: electrical engineering; low-capacity high-frequency transformers, their design and manufacture; radio electronics and converter engineering. SUBSTANCE: transformer has windings placed on primarily rod-type core and multilayer insulation of dielectric material in the form of helical ribbon spring around winding surface with radial compression and locking of winding turns and leads due to elastic strain forces. Manufacturing process is characterized in that apart from winding the core, blank in the form of flexible band length made of dielectric material is rolled up for the time being heat treatment is ceased, heated to initial plastic deformation point of dielectric material without melting; upon cooling down, helical band spring obtained from blank is extended, placed above winding turns and, upon releasing extension force, it is allowed to return to its compressed state due to elastic strain stress so that winding turns and leads are embraced, radially compressed, and locked in position. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture due to simplified assembly procedure; improved reliability and quality of winding-to-winding insulation. 6 dwg
