FIELD: stomatology, particularly, diagnostics of supporting apparatus of tooth or tissue surrounding dental implant. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying variable pressure force to tooth ensuring its back-and-forth motion; measurement of amplitude of tooth displacement is performed by means of two amplitude component discrimination, one of which is in phase with variable force, and other is out of phase by angle of 90 deg.; measured magnitudes of amplitude components are used for evaluation of elasticity and viscosity of dental tissue. Device has body with attached movable probe, load driver unit consisting of generator and magnetoconductor, displacement recording unit, consisting of displacement sensor, amplifier, detector and voltmeter; wire frame connected with generator and mounted inside magnetoconductor; displacement recording unit having probe position sensor, synchronous filter, inverter, logical element "AND", sampling and memory units, timer, indicators monitoring probe position and termination of measuring, as well as second detector and voltmeter. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities due to procedure automation. 2 cl, 7 dwg
