FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dentistry and can be used for diagnostics of tooth support-holding apparatus, preferably - the degree of atrophy of tooth bone alveoli. A variable force is applied on the tooth providing reciprocating oscillation. At the same time, a constant force is applied to the tooth. Tooth mobility is measured. According to the measured mobility, the state of the support-holding apparatus is determined. A constant force is applied to the tooth from the variable force side, its magnitude is chosen to exceed the value of variable force, and to ensure displacement of the equilibrium position of the tooth to remove backlash in the support-holding apparatus. With mobility greater than 6.4 mcm/h, atrophy of alveoli bone tissue is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method of diagnosis, allowing to determine the atrophy of bone alveoli, improve diagnostic speed and improve the accuracy of measurements by simultaneous action of constant and variable forces on the tooth.
