FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring tooth motility in time in moving it by applying controlled force. The controlled force is constant in magnitude. Tooth displacement velocity is measured at the stages of fast and slower linear changes of the tooth motion velocity. Fast linear change of tooth motion velocity increasing relative to a reference value, tissue inflammation in anchoring holding apparatus of tooth. The slower linear change of tooth motion velocity increasing relative to a reference value, reduction of periodontium area. The controlled force being equal to 200 g and fast linear displacement of tooth being greater than 3.1 mcm/s, tissue inflammation is to be diagnosed. Slower changes of tooth motion velocity being greater than 0.03 mcm/s, reduced periodontium area is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: increased reliability of express-evaluation. 3 dwg
