FIELD: mining and petroleum industries. SUBSTANCE: specific resistance of adjacent geological formations is measured from inside of fixed hole. Stationary measurements at predetermined depth are carried out by initial measuring step and subsequent first and second compensation steps correspondingly leading to higher accuracy of measurements. According to the method, sent from casing string to geological formation is first alternating current of first frequency, and second alternating current of second frequency is delivered through casing string. Possible is simultaneous realization of measuring step and both compensation steps needed for obtaining accurate results during displacement of device in vertical direction in fixed hole.
