FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method of continuous casting of metal provides, that metal is fed in crystallizer and ingot is drawn from crystallizer with changeable speed. Ingot is kept and directed along processing axis of continuous casting aggregate by rollers mounted on bearing supports. Ingot surface is cooled using coolant sprayed by jets. In continuous casting process speed of ingot drawing is periodically changed, its running value is defined by formula: Vmax,min = τvр± (2-6)•H/τ, with Vp - running value of ingot drawing speed given according to process, m/min; τ - time of full ingot solidification, minutes; H - space between axes of rollers at distance from metal place in crystallizer equal to tvрVp, m; (2 - 6) - empirical factor taking into consideration of rollers number in area of full solidification of ingot, dimensionless. In the case duration of continuous casting with changed speed of drawing is set equal to time of ingot full solidification. EFFECT: increased productivity. 1 tbl
