FIELD: metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method for metal continuous casting consists in that metal is transferred to mold, and ingot is drawn with variable speed, supplied and directed by means of rollers located along the process axis of the continuous casting plant and mounted on bearing supports. Ingot is cooled with coolant sprayed by nozzles. Conditions and serviceability of rollers and their supports are determined. In the process of continuous casting, ingot is drawn at working speed Vp and conditions of rollers and their supports are determined at the section of the process axis with length equalling 6-8 thicknesses of ingot whose beginning is found from the metal meniscus in mold at distance of (0.94-0.96)τ Vp, and in case of disturbed serviceability of rollers and their supports, drawing speed is changed by ± (0.1-0.3)Vp, where τ- is the time of ingot full solidification, min.
