FIELD: mining, construction and other branches of economy. SUBSTANCE: method is good when studying regularity of movement of bodies of unspecified shape while rolling over working surfaces. Body is placed on two working surface in the form of horizontal plane composed of two parts. One of them can change inclination angle. Body is given rotary motion by smooth increase of angle of inclination of plane, path and time of movement of body till it stops are measured. Then body is substituted with design model in the form of elastoviscous prismatic polyhedron and value of moment of inertia providing for coincidence of duration of rolling of body and model is determined. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of studies of regulations of movement of bodies. 11 dwg
