FIELD: separation of diamonds from loose diamond material. SUBSTANCE: bulk of loose materials is divided into different types in accordance with wettability of particles with oil. It is attained due to preliminary treatment of particles so as to provided selective imparting of higher water-repellent property of particles of one type rather than to particles of another type, and by introduction of particles in the froth mass. Particles are withdrawn separated into fractions in accordance with the rate of particles sinking in froth. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 8 cl, 3 dwg
