FIELD: hydraulic transport for solid materials, soft and clay soils, in particular. SUBSTANCE: soil is fed to load device where it is shifted to inlet of pressure pipe line; in course of shifting the soil, it is packed forming at least two plugs along length of device; then soil is loosened before getting into pressure pipe line. Device for realization of this method has screw conveyer 4 mounted in housing 1 provided with loading branch pipe 2 and unloading branch pipe 3; diameter of housing and pitch of screw conveyer turn are so selected that their values at inlet exceed those at outlet by 10 to 15 percent; spiral of screw conveyer 4 has two breaks 5 and 6.
