FIELD: mechanical engineering; ionization of gas-air mixture to create confortable microclimate in saloons of vehicles and in rooms; for treatment of fuel-air mixture in carburettor internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: ionizer has dielectric ring with electrodes located in through channel of ring. Positive plate-type insulated electrode and negative metal thread electrode are connected, respectively, to and negative poles of supply source. To increase efficiency of ionizer insulated plates of negative electrode are installed at two sides of plate of positive electrode. Height of positive electrode plate is greater than height of negative electrode plate by value not less than distance between threads of negative electrode and plates of positive electrode.
