METHOD OF REGISTRATION OF PRESSENT-DAY TECTONIC MOVEMENTS Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: semismomentry, seismology, seismotectonics, hydraulic engineering, capital construction. SUBSTANCE: residual deformations and power geodynamic actions on system "dam-base-water" are isolated from present-day fast and slow tectonic movements and measured. For these purposes there are utalized measurement systems of prolonged action installed in high dams and in areas of location of large hing-pressure integrated hydroschemes. Legitimite signal is extracted as anomaly against background of quasi-stationary mode determined by level of water storage, air temperature and know technogenic factors. Authenticity of signal is checked by readings of pickups not included into tested group by responses of measurent systems of nearest dams in one region active seismically.
