FIELD: plasma generation. SUBSTANCE: method involves filling working space with gas from source isotopes to density optimal for passing nuclear acceleration beams, building up magnetic field of desired flux density and its rate of rise in different regions of working space, accelerating source nuclei to desired speed and introducing them into working space in dense beams distributed symmetrically to center and axis of magnetic trap. Accelerated nuclei are introduced in plasma beams oriented to central region of working space so that pressure of nuclei beams is uniformly distributed on all sides of their convergence and separation region and that accelerated nuclei are equally distributed according to speed direction at entry in this region. Sectional areas and power of these beams are increased in proportion to size of region occupied by plasma produced. Quantity of accelerated plasma beams should be at least 18. EFFECT: increased quantity of plasma beams obtained.
