TUYERE FOR BLOW-THROUGH OF METAL MELT AND INJECTION OF POWDERY REAGENTS INTO MELT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, design of gears used for converter blow of molten metal melt and injection of powdery reagents into melt. SUBSTANCE: refractory jacket of tuyere is fitted with heat-removing carrying fixtures in the form of pipes arranged around body and connected to its collector which form additional conduits to supply reagents. Collector of tuyere body is manufactured in the form of member carrying fixtures for refractory jacket. In agreement with another version lower part of tuyere is made in the form of vortex chamber. Top of this chamber can house tangent-inclined oriented outlets of conduits of helical pipes of fixtures. Tuyere can also be equipped with vibration generators. EFFECT: enhanced blow-through efficiency thanks to increased degree of assimilation of powdery materials, strength and reliability of tuyere. 15 cl, 11 dwg
