FIELD: search for mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to location hidden masses and objects, in particular, to search for mineral resources. Rock masses are opened for evaluation of tantalum. Monomineral samples of quartz are selected on surface of hydrothermal veins, they are irradiated with gamma quanta with dosage which transforms isomorphous germanium into paramagnetic state, concentration of impurity germanium sites is measured by method of electron paramagnetic resonance. If concentration of the latter in examined samples exceeds 1,2×1016pc/g this is evidence of presence of hidden masses of tantalum-bearing granites. EFFECT: improved efficiency of search for tantalum.
