FIELD: mineralogical methods of evaluation of endogenic boron or tin-boron mineralization genetically related to magnesian skarns. SUBSTANCE: samples are taken from deposits or manifestations of iron- magnesium borates from boreholes or from outcrops of different levels. Absolute marks are recorded. Monomineral fractions of Zudvigit-vonsenit composition fractions are selected from taken samples. Oxidation coefficients of iron are found for all samples. Regression equation and determination factor are computed. Oxidation coefficients of iron, levels of upper and lower boundaries of boron mineralization are determined by which sought-for parameters are found. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of evaluation of scale of ironboron mineralization formed under conditions of abyssal and hypabyssal facies of depth by way of exposure of mineralogical criteria of vertical zonality to make decision on scale of mineralization, its extent to depth and on value of erosion section. 1 cl, 2 dwg
