FIELD: nuclear power engineering, nuclear physics; on-line inspection of fuel in reactor fuel assembly for isotope content, energy production, and fluency of neutrons. SUBSTANCE: electric current produced by neutron detector under the action of neutron radiation is time-integrated, measured, and this integrated current value is used to determine mentioned characteristics with aid of calibration relationships obtained in advance by calculations and experiments. EFFECT: simplified procedure, improved speed of inspection, more efficient use of fissionable flu, improved safety in operation. 10 dwg
