FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: machine shearing hair of animals includes case housing electric motor drive, lever coupled with one end to electric motor drive and carrying on the other end cutting mechanism incorporating knife and comb and pressing mechanism to adjust effort of pressure of knife against comb including pressure nut, two bearings, restoring member and bushing put on axle. Bearings are positioned uniaxially on opposite ends of axle. Lever is manufactured from two hinged parts. One part is cast with four claws. Comb for customary cut has teeth of different length, extreme ones being twice as wide as others. Knife has dirt holes, holes for barbels of claws and stiffening ribs. Machine is supplied with set of abrasive straps to sharpen knives and combs. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and efficiency. 2 cl, 6 dwg
