FIELD: animal shearing processes and apparatuses. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing, drive mechanism, lever, movable cutter, stationary comb and pressure mechanism in the form of vertically mounted rod whose one end is screwed to housing and whose other end rests upon plate. Said plate is arranged on tree rolling type bearing units - two front and one rear - placed in horizontal plane of boss rigidly secured to lever. Vertical pressure plane passing through axis of pushing rod is arranged between vertical planes passing through centers of two front and one rear rolling bearing units. EFFECT: lowered effort of pressure mechanism, reduced friction of joined parts, decreased energy consumption, enhanced operational reliability. 2 dwg
