FIELD: building industry; mechanical engineering; electronics. SUBSTANCE: filaments are manufactured from melt of rocks by way of melting rocks, feeding melt into shaping zone, and drawing filaments. Ratio of input of melt toward filament formation zone to utilization of melt in that zone is 10-50, and specific input per single opening in the same zone is 0.2-1.0 g/min. Device contains a tub made of refractory material for preparing melt having producing aperture and heated draw plate. Ratio of producing aperture area to total area of openings on draw plate is 10-50. Area of an opening is 1.0-5.5 sq.mm. EFFECT: improved operating process. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 3 tbl
