METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF THE IMPROVED QUALITY CONTINUOUS MINERAL FIBERS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC C03B7/02

Abstract RU 2303005 C2

FIELD: chemical industry; chemical technology of the inorganic materials.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the chemical technology of inorganic materials, in particular, to production of the fibers of the mineral rocks. The method provides for crushing of the rock, its flushing, assorting, magnetic separation, preheating, loading into the bath melting kiln, the rock melting, the bubbling of the melt, degassing, homogenization, feeding of the melt from the feeder line onto the spinneret feeding gear and molding of the fibers. The rock melting is conducted in the regenerative bathing kiln with the horseshoe shape direction of the flame with the accuracy of keeping the temperature in the control point of the melt along its running way to the spinneret feeding gear within ±10°С and the equitability of the temperatures along the length of the spinneret plate of the feeding gear makes ±5°С. Heating of the kiln is realized by the gaseous and-or liquid fuel, the process is conducted in the bathing kiln with the area of no less than 8 m2, at the melting output from one m2 of no more than 0.4 t and duration of the melt staying in the bathing kiln of no less than 5 hours. Feeding of the melt from the bathing kiln into the feeding gear is realized through the separating baffler. The technical result of the invention is the improved quality of the produced fiber, the increase efficiency of the process, the reduced its power input due to the preheating of the rock before its loading into the kiln by the exhaust gases and their usage for heating up of the air for combustion of the natural gas. The specific breaking load of the stretched fiber constitutes of no less than 650 mN/tack, the fiber breakage is less than 1 breakage per 10 kg of the fiber, productivity of the process of the fiber drawing from one spinneret is no less than 0.9 kg/day.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the improved quality of the produced fiber, the increased efficiency of the process, the reduced power input.
