FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: product: 1-(4'-aminophenyl)-3-aminoethyladamantane that is a new adamantane-containing diamine used for synthesis of polyimides and copolyimides showing enhanced hydrolytic resistance based on pyromellitic dianhydride, 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ester and 1-(4'-aminophenyl)-3-aminoethyladamantane. Fragment content of the latter in polymers is from 70 to 100 mole%. Monomer can be used for synthesis thermostable polymers, in part, polyimides and copolyimides. EFFECT: enhanced hydrolytic resistance. 1 tbl
