FIELD: petroleum processing.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises heating primary feedstock, mixing it with gas-vapor coking products in additional absorber to form secondary feedstock, which is then heated to coking temperature. Light fraction from absorber are directed to rectification column to isolate coking distillates and bottom residue, which, after heating to temperature by 50-60°C higher than that of secondary feedstock, is mixed with the latter, resulting mixture is subjected to preliminary thermal polycondensation in a separate reactor and sent to coking process.
EFFECT: increased yield of coke, improved its quality, prolonged overhaul period, and simplified plant running.
