METHOD OF FLAMIN PREPARING Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: chemical-pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves extraction of common immortelle (Helichrisum arenarium) inflorescences, extract evaporation, settling and filtration of an aqueous concentrate followed by treatment with a mixture of ethyl acetate and ethanol, separation of an organic phase from an aqueous one and its drying. Treatment of an aqueous concentrate with ethyl acetate with ethanol is carried out at countercurrent at stirring and at ratio = (1:2). An aqueous concentrate and ethyl acetate/ethanol mixture is fed at countercurrent at rates 47-53 l/h and 77-83 l/h at onset and 27-33 l/h and 42-48 l/h during the process, respectively. The prepared flamin is used for treatment cholecystitis and hepatitis. EFFECT: intensified process, increased yield of product, decreased reagent consumption. 7 tbl
