FIELD: in organic synthesis as urethane polymerization catalyst. SUBSTANCE: process is carried out by contacting monoethanol amine in admixture with diluent. The latter is ammonia or steam with high-silica zeolite catalyst such as pentasil type zeolite with $$$ molar ratio of 40- 300, treated with aqueous solution of complexing agent such as ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid or sulfosalicylic acid sodium salt or quaternary methyl ammonium base and additionally activated with air flow at 480-520 C for 2 hours and with $$$ stream at 360-420 C for at least 2 hours and volumetric ratio of 0.1-3.0 h. Concentration of the desired product in catalyzate is 31.5%. EFFECT: more efficient process.
