FIELD: conversion equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed voltage stabilizer is designed for connection on low-voltage side of key transformer of substation. It includes two frequency converters 1, 2 and high-frequency step-down transformer placed between them. Frequency converter 1 increases frequency multiple of number of phases relative to network frequency and has D.C. link on basis of controlled rectifier and inverter. Frequency converter 2 decreases frequency to network frequency and presents zero cycloconverter with natural commutation. Control systems of inverter and cycloconverter have capability of simultaneous leading adjustment of phase of voltage of boost which amplitude is regulated by rectifier. Voltage stabilization is carried out by simultaneous action of control systems of rectifier, inverter and cycloconverter with signal of deviation of load voltage from specified level.
