FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: blank is affected by a tool that is set in an accelerated motion by means of a pulse power source. The stroke of the tool is preliminary adjusted so that the velocity of the tool when it touches a blank exceeds the strain rate of the material of the blank by a factor of 1.5-2. The device has a solenoid actuator made up as drawing coil with a magnetic circuit and armature, working tool, mechanism for reversing the tool and damping a surplus of kinetic energy, and controller of the stroke of the tool. The tool is rigidly connected with the armature. The mechanism for reversing and damping is made up as springs and pins coupled with the springs. The pins are received in the sockets in the armature. The rigidity of the springs are different. The length of the pins are also different. The spring of less rigidity is coupled with the guide pin, the length of which corresponds to the maximum stroke of the tool. The spring of greater rigidity is coupled with the pin the length of which corresponds to the maximum thickness of the blank. The controller of the tool stroke, which may be made up as screws, is in a contact with the springs. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
