FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for making float-glass with improved strength properties. The method is realised through aerosol spraying of an ammonium sulphate solution at glass temperature of 600-650°C and a solution of frosting coating compositions based on polyethylene glycol at glass temperature of 240-300°C. Reinforcement reagents are fed onto the top and bottom surfaces of the glass at different concentrations. The invention can be used to reinforce sheet glass made using other methods.
EFFECT: reinforcement of float-glass during its continuous production.
